make LIMONCELLO!!!! YIPPEEEE!!
i’m using the peels of the grammy award winning lemons from phoenix, the limoncello recipe from cortona, italy, and vodka from costco. five or seven days it will sit and get to know each other. then i’ll strain it and add a simple syrup.
i juiced the lemons and put the juice in ice cube trays for a rainy day…
DAY 4 OF LIMONCELLO MAKING…
FOUR MORE DAYS AND IT GETS THE SIMPLE SYRUP!!!
and four or five days later…
AAAAh ~ the “fruit” of my labor. get it? fruit? hee hee
i added a little secret ingredient to the simple syrup. oh alright, i’ll tell you. that amazing mexican vanilla that makes everything taste more exotic. and it really gave the limoncello a nice depth of flavor.
this will be a special after dinner drink for the summer. we’ve worked so hard this year, my hub and i, and i am so looking forward to a summer of health, love, fun, and relaxation!
