and still loving it. i have such clarity for the rest of the day, after a good run. i’m still at 1.5-2.5 miles, but i’m going to stay there for another few weeks, or so. i recently had a great friend (who is an avid runner) give me some great advice: don’t push too hard. stay at 1.5-2.5 until you feel like you’re really ready to move on. because if you push yourself that early on, you might hurt yourself.
so i’m staying there, and i’m going to do that every day, building my speed just a little bit at a time.
i lost almost a full week last week, due to stress and crazy schedule. i’m never going to do that again. it was so not worth it, those extra few minutes of sleep! turns out i NEED this running thing, to keep everything “running” smoothly in my system, emotionally, spiritually and physically.
turns out i just might be one of those people who runs to live. hmmm….
Excellent, RUN ON baby!
