21-day reset.

HEY Y’ALL!  HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE!

I hope you’re out partying.  I’m exactly where I want to be ~ on the couch, in front of the fire, curled up with the hub.

I don’t know about you, but I’m not feeling so hot.  The holidays have not been good to me, health-wise.  Too much stress, and lots of celebratory food.

Is anyone interested in a 21-day reset?  I know, I know ~ you’re sick of fads and diets and cleanses and detoxes.  I AM TOO!!!

I’m not trying to sell you anything.  In fact, I make about 75 cents a year keeping this food blog.  KACHEEENG!!!!  So you can see how rich I am already.

But I don’t do this for the money; I do this because I absolutely LOVE it.

So here’s my idea!

LEMONS…..AAAAAAH.

Here are the guidelines for Pixy’s 21-day reset!

  • My timeline: Jan 2-22.  Maybe longer if I can, but I don’t want to get overwhelmed.  A month seems like a long time to me, but 21 days doesn’t.  I’m just weird that way.  Plus, we go to this crazy music teacher convention on the 23rd, and there’s no way I’ll stay on plan.  Just sayin’.
  • I’ll post and follow the general guidelines of the Whole 30 book, but I’ll make it my personal challenge to BLOW YOUR MIND with way better recipes than that book.  Ha ha ha ~ just kidding.  I don’t mean to be cocky.  I’ve just got some delicious tricks up my sleeve.  That’s all I meant to say.
  • I’ll probably do a little more plant-based eating than meat eating, which is different from the book.  But I feel so much better when I eat mostly plants.  Have you heard that quote, “Eat real food…not too much…mostly plants”?  I really love that quote.  I’ll try to provide meat versions of my planty food as well.
  • I also PROMISE to keep it simple.  Not too many crazy sauces!  I believe the book mentions that you shouldn’t get fancy or complicated anyway.  No pancakes made with paleo ingredients, for instance.

No doubt, in my household, the hardest thing about this will be the NO DRINKING rule.  We’re musicians.  That means weird schedules, cocktail parties, frustrating rehearsals, fun people in our lives, and concerts that make you feel like celebrating when they’re over.  I’m not making any excuses, I’m just stating the situation we’re in.

But I am so ready for this.  So ready to feel my best, reset my whacked out tastebuds, sleep like a baby, and treat myself to health over all else.

I’d love to set some rules right now, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself.  More tomorrow, friends.  Which is NEW YEAR’S DAY!!!!

I hope you’ll comment if you’re interested in doing this reset with me!  And please tell me if there’s some kind of food or ingredient you really want me to include in my recipes, okay?

This is going to be a delicious January!!!!

    1. All these comments were hidden until now! Sorry I’m just now replying! I’m so glad to help motivate in any way I can!!! Do you have a specific food you’re craving? I need some inspiration for my next week of meals. I’m thinking chili, but I don’t want to just eat a big ole bowl of meat! But that does sound good!

    1. These comments have been hidden from view ~ sorry! My plan is the Whole 30, but just for 21 days. But I’m pretty sure I’m going the whole 30 days. I’m just not telling myself that!
