I feel like this is a milestone day! Two weeks we’ve been on this plan, and we haven’t slipped up once! I’m SHOCKED. No one is more shocked than I am.
We have passed a few difficult tests, kind of like the Fire Swamp in The Princess Bride? Except our Rodents of Unusual Size are cocktail parties and Wednesday night church choir wine breaks. HA!
One thing I just cannot do is go to the movies. We’ve tried a couple times and I quashed it. I don’t know if I can sit in a movie theater, with the sound of people crunching on my favorite food of all time ~ popcorn.
But so far, this reset has been so worth it. I feel amazingly clear and energetic, as I’ve mentioned before, and I’m trying not to focus on my weight, but I think I’ve lost some. My belly is definitely smaller and I think I can see a difference in my face.
Since I feel like this 14th day should be celebrated, I’m going to make a special dinner tonight!
Not sure this is fully on-plan, but I’m going to make Sweet Potato Gnocchi and Zoodle Bolognese! The Hub also wants me to make Chicken Spiedini ~ that’s chicken pounded flat, rolled up with ham, spinach, and basil pesto, baked, and sliced. That’s a really good idea for a Whole 30 meal, so I’m going to try to make it.
This meal would be SO good with a nice Italian red, but sparkling water will have to do.
