avocados and fruit for breakfast.

Good morning, lovely people!

I think you all know by now that my favorite subject is HEALTHY BREAKFAST FOODS. Although, lately I’ve been partaking a little too much in the coffee shop pastry genre. I can’t say I’m sad about it.

For me, if I have a decadent everything bagel with cream cheese or a croissant on Monday morning, I crave it every morning for the rest of the week. It’s a habit I can form in literally one mouth-watering bite.

But here’s a much more healthy, fresh, and energy-giving way to start your day.



(This is so easy to throw together in the morning and take with you to work. You can make a large amount if you want to snack on it all day.)

Here’s the ingredient list:

  • Chopped, fresh pineapple
  • Chopped, ripe avocado
  • Diced cucumber
  • Juice of one lime
  • Salt, pepper and chili lime salt (or just chili powder)

You know the drill ~ if you have strawberries instead of pineapple, do it. Orange, grapefruit, whatever fruit you have is delightful with avocado, especially if you bring it all together with some tart lime juice!

That’s it!

My mouth is tingling with the citrusy sweetness of the pineapple, and it gave me more energy than that coffee I drank at 6:30 this morning!
