HAPPY 2020, Y’ALL!

I am so excited for this year! Or, I will be when I recover from the holidays. So much gluten and dairy and sugar and salt and travel and and and…

My body is screaming at me.

Today, on January 1st of 2020, I’m going to relax and watch movies with the hub, venture out to the gym for a little cardio and some hot tub/sauna time, and GET MY PLANTS ON!

Starting off the new year with lots of veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, clean and lean protein, legumes, NO CALORIE COUNTING, and NO CARB-FREE DIETS!

It’s all about My Healthy Additions. No eliminations. Just an overload of healthy!

There’s fruit in the house, y’all, and I could not be happier!

Here’s what we had for a late breakfast this morning:

Put these lovely ingredients in a bowl (serves 1)…

1/3 cup oats (you can also just use sliced raw almonds if you’re grain-free)

2 dates, chopped into small pieces

1/2 banana sliced

1/2 cup nut milk (pick your fave)

dash of cinnamon

Stir and let sit for a minute or two, to soften the oats a bit (it’s also great after sitting in the fridge for a while ~ probably even overnight).

Top with berries!

Okay, I mentioned earlier that it serves one, but I ate 1/3 of it and have been full for two hours. So you can make a batch and eat a little here and there when you’re feeling snacky. What a healthy solution!

I love cereal so this makes me VERY HAPPY.


And here it is for two! The hub ate only a few bites of this because he opted for last night’s leftover New Year’s Eve baked Mac N Cheese. Also a good decision.
