Day 144.

Well hello stranger!

It’s been a minute since I posted anything about my 4M challenge. Remember that? The year-long challenge of attempting to add four important things to every single day of my life? Music, morning pages, moving, and meditating? Sound familiar?

Well today is Day 144! Amazing!

Life is flying by, and even though this year has been…well…interesting ~ I feel a sense of wellbeing due to these 4 Ms.

I’m not saying I’ve crushed all four every single day. Far from it. But I have kept them in the front of my mind and at the top of my list, and it has changed my mood, my productivity levels, and my general outlook on life.

I always thought you needed to do all the hard, important, boring stuff in life first, then if you have time, do the things that make you happy/balanced/great. Maybe that works for you, but I’m not sure it has ever worked for me. I need happy to get through the hard.

Do I sound entitled and spoiled?

I AM!!!

And you can be, too, if you make a plan to change your priorities just a wee bit, and rethink your day a little. It might mean getting up an hour earlier, or spending less time trying to do everything perfectly, but I do think it’s possible for everyone to carve out ten minutes a day for things that make you SING.

I’m going to keep working on this 4M Challenge for the rest of the year (I started in August), but I’d like to kick off 2021 with a bang.

As always, I’m really doing this for me, y’all. These resets and challenges I always do are vital to me living my best life. It doesn’t come easily to me, so I have to constantly make promises to myself that I will live beyond my natural tendencies (cookies and Hulu), which in the end, don’t actually make me as happy as long walks and fresh berries. Just sayin’. And plus, there’s time for all of the above!

I’ll still be blogging and posting yummy recipes! I promise! There’s plenty of time for all of it!
